Academics

Students of Sancta Familia Academy are educated and formed spiritually and intellectually. This formation is accomplished through the integration of the two elements we believe essential to the identity of Sancta  Familia Academy: the Catholic Faith and the liberal arts curriculum. The instruction and practice of the Catholic Faith is central to the mission of the Academy and shapes our formation program. At the same time, the Academy utilizes a liberal arts curriculum to provide the students with a solid foundation in core skills while developing strong analytical and communication abilities.
The education that Sancta Familia Academy provides to children and their parents has, at its center, the formation of future Catholic men and women, mature in Faith, prepared to be leaders of their generation.  By
cultivating an atmosphere of respect, the Academy creates a nurturing environment where children can learn and grow as individuals and as members of a community. At the Academy, the student will be encouraged to develop the qualities of leadership, service, integrity, diligence, perseverance and self-sacrifice.
In order for our children to develop a truly Christian character, discipline at home and at school must be compatible, consistent, and unified. It is fundamental to the philosophy of Sancta Familia Academy that the atmosphere in school be respectful and orderly. Student cooperation and self-control are expected in order to uphold the dignity of the academic setting and the spiritual nature of the Academy.
...since education consists essentially in preparing man for what he must be and for what he must do here below, in order to attain the sublime end for which he was created, it is clear that there can be no true education which is not wholly directed to man's last end, and that in the present order of Providence, since God has revealed Himself to us in the Person of His Only Begotten Son, who alone is "the way, the truth and the life," there can be no ideally perfect education which is not Christian education.
~
Pius XI, 1929
