The Subjects of the Sancta Familia Academy Curriculum
The formative function of education is to develop, discipline, and direct the capacities of the human person. This is achieved when the mind assimilates, with and through subject-matter, definite ideas, attitudes, methods, habits, and principles. This formative function of knowledge is the aim of the various subjects that comprise the curriculum. Recognizing every child as an individual learner, Sancta Familia Academy places students according to skill level rather than an age-based grade level.
Sancta Familia Academy, Inc. admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
